Shannon Jones
Shannon is the Programs and Priority Populations Manager at SunSmart.
Shannon is responsible for the overall management of SunSmart programs including schools, early childhood, health workforce and workplace. Shannon works directly with health professionals to improve the early detection and prevention of skin cancer including leading the Dermoscopy for Victorian General Practice Program, which has seen more than 400 GPs upskill in skin cancer and provided with dermoscopy equipment.
Shannon has a background in corporate health, health promotion and education. Combined with over 15 years with SunSmart, Shannon brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the program. Shannon is passionate about making a difference to GPs and their patients in skin cancer early diagnosis and prevention. Shannon studied a Bachelor of Applied Science (Health Promotion) at Deakin University and has undertaken postgraduate studies towards a Masters’ in Public Health at Monash University.
