Dr Ernest Tan graduated in medicine from the University of Western Australia in 1990. He trained in Dermatology in Perth and has been a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists since 1998. He undertook further training in Mohs surgery and is a fully accredited Mohs Fellow with the College of Dermatologists. He is currently a Consultant Dermatologist at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and is a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Western of Australia. He is a member of the Western Australian Kirkbride Melanoma Advisory Service (WAKMAS) and is the lead clinician for Skin Tumours (Melanoma) for WA Cancer and Palliative Care Network.  Dr. Tan has been an investigator in clinical trials in the treatment of atopic dermatitis, psoriasis and solar keratoses. He has published several peer-reviewed articles in Dermatology journals. His special areas of interest in the field of Dermatology include the management of skin cancers, Mohs surgery, melanoma, atopic dermatitis and psoriasis.
