A/Prof Prof Chris Baker is a clinical dermatologist based in Melbourne and the former President of the Australasian College of Dermatologists. A/Prof Baker has particular interest in advanced psoriasis therapies, photodermatology and phototherapy, and clinical trials. He is the Director of the Department of Dermatology at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne and past President of the Skin Health Institute from 2006-2008. He is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

A/Prof Prof Baker established the first dedicated photodermatology and light testing facility in Australia at St Vincent's Hospital. He has been co-investigator on a number of clinical trials for biologic therapies and conducts advanced psoriasis clinics at the Skin Health Institute and St Vincent's Hospital. He was involved in implementing and developing local treatment protocols.

A/Prof Baker was co-founder of the Australasian Psoriasis Registry (APR), an online Australian and New Zealand registry established in 2008 for psoriasis patients on systemic and biologic therapies. He has authored papers on goals of care and quality of life studied in psoriasis. He is currently involved in a collaborative project developing biofabrication of skin and 3D printing.
