Overview
Join us for an in-depth virtual workshop where we will delve into the world of contact dermatitis, a common skin condition characterised by inflammation caused by direct contact with an irritating or allergenic substance.
The session will cover an overview of the differences between allergic contact dermatitis, triggered by an immune response to an allergen, and irritant contact dermatitis, caused by direct damage to the skin by an irritant. Learn about the diagnostic process, including the critical role of patch testing, and explore the variety of treatments available, from topical corticosteroids and emollients to advanced therapies and preventive measures.
This workshop will be presented virtually, developed and delivered by specialist dermatologist, Dr Mei Tam and facilitated by GP, Dr Laxmi Iyengar.
