14 May 2024 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm AEST

Overview

Hair loss is a common presentation to Australian GPs and GP registrars. It is often the first sign of serious systemic disease and may carry with it a heavy psychological burden.

This workshop will ensure that practitioners are well-positioned to diagnose hair loss early and initiate timely treatment, improving patients’ long-term outcomes.

Topics covered in this session are:

  • Outline fundamental hair anatomy and physiology
  • Review the pathophysiology of the different types of alopecia and how they may present on trichoscopic hair and scalp examination
  • Treatment options for alopecia
  •
