Overview
This workshop will explore the role of triggers in disease aetiology, tailoring treatment to the individual, the significance of topical corticosteroids in management, emerging therapies, and when care escalation is required.
Clinical vignettes of mild, moderate and severe AD will be used to facilitate discussion and promote collaboration between GPs and dermatologists.
This workshop will be presented virtually, developed and delivered by specialist dermatologist, Dr Lena Ly and facilitated by GP, Dr Laxmi Iyengar
Topics covered in this session are:
- Describe atopic dermatitis and how to identify its severity
- Recognise common atopic dermatitis triggers and associations
- Interprofessional discussion about the management of mild, moderate and severe atopic dermatitis and when to escalate care
