
A/Prof Con Dolianitis
A/Prof Con Dolianitis MB, BS, BA, MMed, FACD works in the specialised biologics clinic and the general dermatology clinic at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. Con has previously consulted at the Skin Health Institute in Carlton in both the nail clinic and hair clinic, and the Royal Children’s Hospital.
Con has published multiple articles in peer-reviewed journals and has been involved in research and clinical trials. He was awarded a research grant by the Scientific Research fund of the Australasian College of Dermatology for work in melanoma. Con’s research with the Victorian Melanoma Service focused on the use of dermoscopy for the early detection of melanoma. Con completed a Masters of Medicine researching the detection of melanomas using spectrophotometry. He has a particular interest in the early detection of melanomas and monitoring patients at risk of melanoma.
Con regularly attends local and international conferences to offer patients the latest treatment options. He has been attending the annual meeting of European Academy of Dermatology for the last 10 years.
Con has a particular interest in the early detection and treatment of melanoma and other skin cancers, including the use of non-surgical approaches when appropriate. Con also has significant experience with managing psoriasis and eczema, including use of phototherapy treatment. He has been heavily involved in running the biological therapies clinic for the treatment of severe psoriasis at The Royal Melbourne Hospital. Additionally, Con has significant experience in the treatment of acne, hair disorders, nail disorders, men’s dermatological problems and general dermatologic conditions.
